Maintainable Version of the ACSA Information System
Šramka, Michal ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Burgetová, Ivana (advisor)
The goal of this master's thesis is creating a concept of architecture for new information system of the Academic Center for Students Activities. New information system of the Academic Center should be well documented and better maintainable. The first part deals with software maintenance and software architecture design. The second part contains analysis of current information system of Academic Center for Students Activities and also the architecture of new system is designed. The next parts are design of framework for the new system and also design of particular modules. Then there are implementation of designed parts and testing on real data.
Universal Content Management System on Ruby on Rails
Koriťák, Jan ; Kunc, Michael (referee) ; Vrážel, Dušan (advisor)
This paper introduces the reader into utilization of web application frameworks in web development. It describes Content Management Systems and demands on them. The goal of the thesis is to implement a new Content Management System using a Ruby on Rails framework. The system is required to faciliate a simple publication of documents in various forms. It should also provide multilingual environment and support custom interface templates.
Library for database access in PHP language
Ondra, Martin ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Kacálek, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor thesis describes modern website scripting language PHP, MySQL database and very closely describes functionality of Model-View-Controller design pattern, which can be used in programming database-oriented aplications. On the basis of described theoretics findings is build a library in PHP and MySQL, which matches Model from Model-View-Controller design pattern.
XML Template Support in PHP Frameworks
Ambrož, Lukáš ; Volf, Tomáš (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with template support in PHP frameworks. The aim is to design and implement an extension for Nette Framework, which allows defining templates in XML language. Thesis also provides a comparison of different approaches of template support in commonly used PHP frameworks. In addition it describes the possibilities of XML language that might be useful for own extension. Created library includes a set of special XML tags, which enable definition of templates in XML.
Software for Management of Advertisements
Maleček, Václav ; Jurka, Pavel (referee) ; Křena, Bohuslav (advisor)
This master's thesis describes development of information system for management of printed paper advertisements, including the problem description, definition of requirements, design, implementation and discussion of planned extensions. During design and implementation, special attention was paid to intuitive and easy user interface. System is programmed in Java language. Hibernate is used for data persistence. Graphical user interface makes use of the Swing framework. MySQL is used as the database system.
Medical System Based on IZIP and Its Security
Janečka, Lukáš ; Křena, Bohuslav (referee) ; Jurka, Pavel (advisor)
The work discusses the analysis, proposal and implementation of simplified outpatient information system of general practitioner (GP), which communicates with IZIP information system. The proposal of system uses the Model-View-Controller architecture; the design patterns and subject simulated technique use UML. The way of communication with IZIP system, the structure of sent data and the communication security is also described in the work. C++ programming language is used for the implementation of the proposed system, parser Xerces-C++ for XML documents processing, toolkit Qt for graphical user's interface; and the data are stored into the Firebird relational database.
Information System for a Care Service
Karásková, Kateřina ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
Information system for a care service was inspired by the existing system. In there was created a new information system that eliminated shortcomings of the existing system. The information system enables to record data on employees, clients, care and payments for care. The system also includes an overview of past and future client care. The information system was implemented as a web application. This brings the benefit of accessing the application from any electronic device that has Internet access. The created information system can be extended by various functions, as needed by the care organization. The goal was to create an information system that would meet the needs of the care organization's employees and at the same time make it easier for employees to work.
Multilayer applications in .NET environment
Palkech, Marek ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Kacálek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis represents the Model-View-Controller pattern. It is focused especially at the description of the particular architecture layers principle and its functionality. It deals with the reasons of the three-layer architecture invention and it also deals with the advantages and the disadvantages provided by this pattern. The most frequent implementation of the MVC – the access to the data stored in the database through the web user interface is also described in this chapter. The next part of the thesis is concentrated on .NET Framework platform created from very voluminous, language-neutral library that is basically huge collection of the source codes providing the solution for common programmer’s problems and from the interface used for running up the applications created in .NET environment. The goal of the chapter concering with .NET Framework is to describe its architecture. The thesis also describes the platform invention, various versions of the .NET, the data access technology ADO.NET and the ASP.NET member ObjectDataSource. The chapter describing languages supported by the .NET Framework is focused on the C# language and its versions. The application “Multilayer applications in .NET environment” is the practical implementation of the mentioned technologies and it is described in the last chapter. The application’s architecture with the concentration on the particular Model-View-Controller layers implementation in the form of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 projects is also described in the thesis. Special attention is paid to each operation over the data stored in the database tables that the application enables the user to execute, as for example data inserting, updating, selecting or deleting. The common business object’s child generation process is also described deep into the details.
Software Architecture and Design Patterns in Web Applications
Kašpar, Jan ; Kunc, Michael (referee) ; Vrážel, Dušan (advisor)
This text describes software architecture and design patterns for web applications together with theirs advantages and disadvantages. The main theoretical part is focused on detailed description and comparison of three patterns and their practical use. A schema of an application with all its parts (use-case diagram, database and objects schema) will be created using UML and subsequently this application will be implemented using the tree chosen patterns. Based on this implementation, the best use for each pattern will be evaluated in the final part of this text.
Tool for Effective Project Task Organization
Stodolová, Martina ; Szőke, Igor (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with management of bachelor's and master's theses. The main goal was to design and develop system for students and supervisors. The result is a web application implemented in Ruby using Rails and Bootstrap frameworks. The application provides supervisors with overview of students' activity by weekly reports. It allows students to cooperate and share information and motivation.
